New airline launches Cebu, Taipei flight

A NEW airline launched its inaugural flight from Cebu to Taipei, Taiwan at 12:20 pm Sunday.

Star Alliance member carrier Eva Air’s inaugural flight had 170 passengers headed to Taiwan.

The three-hour Cebu-Taipei direct flight goes daily starting today, departing from the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) at 11:05 am and arriving at the Taouyuan International Airport in Taipei at 2 pm.

From Taipei, the flight leaves at 7:10 am and arrives in Cebu at 10:05 am.

Eva Air general manager Steven Yu said Cebuanos can now head to Taipei and over 60 over destinations in the Star Alliance network.
