Streets closed near Capitol area for tomorrow’s LP rally
ESCARIO Street near the Capitol grounds will be closed starting 1 p.m. tomorrow for the Liberal Party (LP) rally to be graced by President Benigno Aquino III.
Joy Tumulak, Cebu City Traffic Operations (CCTO) operations chief, announced the closure of Capitol grounds in a press conference Tuesday morning.
“Those coming from Gorordo Avenue passing through Escario Street may take the left turn to Juana Osmena Street,” Tumulak said.
Those coming from Banawa and Guadalupe or from Fuente Rotunda may pass through J. Avia Street instead of passing through the area in front of the Capitol.
Tumulak advised motorists and commuters to avoid the Capitol area as much as possible to avoid being stuck in traffic.
