A German national was rushed to the hospital after he was stabbed by a neighbor in Barangay Poblacion in Alcoy town in southern Cebu Sunday night.
PO3 Rosendo Benondo said that Konrad Jurgen Amalbert Marianos Erich Hans Dr Kleinicke, 79, is now recuperating from a stab wound on his left chest.
Benondo said that police are now looking for Kleinicke’s attacker, who was identified as a certain Aidan Segulle, 20, of barangay Daang Lungsod.
Kleinicke, a retired teacher, is renting an apartment in Barangay Poblacion.
Benondo said Segulle was Kleinicke’s friend.
He said Segulle visited the German national’s apartment on Sunday night to ask for money but Kleinicke refused to give any.
While they argued, Segulle reported choke Kleinicke and punched him several times before he stabbed him with a 10-inch kitchen knife.
Segulle, Benondo said, also took at least P5, 000 cash from Kleinicke before he fled.
Kleinicke’s neighbor, Mario Bayang, saw him bleeding and lying near his apartment’s door and brought him to the Alcantara district hospital.
