A “Duterte” is now being hunted down by law enforcers.
Renato Duterte Jr., a resident of Sitio El Cantorio, Looc, Danao City, was accused of stabbing his cousin on Tuesday night for still unknown reasons.
PO2 Ronald Gomez of the Danao City Police Station said Duterte used a broken soda bottle in stabbing Dennis Duterte Batulan, 47, past 6 p.m.
Initial investigation showed that Batulan was sitting at the back of his house when Duterte approached him and stabbed him in the right chest.
Batulan was brought to the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Danao City and was later transferred to a hospital in Cebu City.
Duterte fled after the incident.
It was not known if the two were related to presumptive President-elect Rodrigo Duterte who has roots in Danao City, southern Cebu.
