Lee rules Sub-1 race

UNIVERSITY of Cebu’s varsity sprinter Prince Joey Lee emerged as the fastest runner in yesterdays “Sub-1 10-K Challenge” at the Plaza Independencia, this City.

The run was extra challenging as competitors were required to finish the 10-kilometer race in an hour or less.

Lee easily finished the race, reaching the finish line in 33 minutes and 19 seconds to win over Boholano Emmanuel Commendador, who timed 33:55.

Paul James Zafico captured the third spot with 34:41; Frannie Canumay settled for fourth with 34:52; and Ian Refuela landed at fifth place with 36:36.

In the distaff side, Lizane Abella finished first with 43:31, beating Aiza Suaybaguio, who ranked second with 48:28.

Yshy Los Baños wound up third with 49:00.
