Police officials receive award for anti-drug raid, election watch

THE Philippine National Police commended the police teams that eliminated suspected drug ĺord Rowen ‘Yawa” Secretaria and two of his alleged cohorts in Banacon Island, Bohol province last May 28.

PNP Deputy Director General Danilo Constantino gave six Medalya ng Kagalingan to Senior Insp. Joey Bicoy of the Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force, Senior Insp. Leo Legrono of the Provincial Intelligence Branch and four other policemen who were part of the raiding team.

Another award was given to Police Regional Office chief Senior Supt. Patrocinio Comendador for maintaining peace and order during the May 9 elections.

The accolades were presented at Monday’s flag-raising ceremony that was attended by Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III and acting Cebu City Mayor Margot Osmena.
