SAM AND KRIS clinched the first ever A-Plus Paints Family Day 3-on-3 Basketball title last Sunday at the One Oasis Gymnasium in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.
Sam and Kris defeated CHBC-Pardo Team B, 11-8, in their championship game. The victory netted the team the P4,000 top purse.
Frends Lingaw-lingaw of the winning team was named MVP and went home with P2,000.
The Cebu Overseas Hardware finished third place after beating Chris Lee Team, 7-4.
The one-day tournament was organized by A-Plus Paints headed by President Henry So and Vice President for Visayas and Mindanao Operations Pepito Lim.
Because of the huge success the tournament last Sunday, So and Lim are planning to stage a regional competition featuring amateur basketball teams of their company in the Visayas.
