The gown worn by reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, along with other
creations by fashion designer Albert Andrada, is on display at SM Seaside City Cebu.
ONE of the country’s top fashion designers Albert Andrada exhibits his collection of couture gowns in SM Seaside City Cebu.
For the second time, Andrada brought his collections to Cebu, and this time the fashion designer brought the gown worn by Ms. Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.
The blue serpentina gown, also called as the mermaid gown, is created and inspired by the tranquility of the deep blue Philippine seas. Tiny sapphire-colored crystals are mixed with the beadwork cascading towards the front of the gown, representing beautiful sands of the country’s beaches.
Made of silk gazaar, the gown has a hem of draped multiple folds at the back, which are like fins of the different beautiful fishes found in Philippine waters.
During the national costume competition, Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach was dressed by Andrada in a beige gown adorned with capiz shells and pearls with a headdress that complements royalty.
The exhibit also features a gown adorned with capiz shells with huge raffles at the back portion which give elegance and classical look.
The Albert Andrada exhibit will run until June 12 at the Seaview Wing Atrium of SM Seaside City Cebu.
