The Cleveland Cavaliers got a huge lift from their superstars LeBron James and Kyrie Irving to score a 112-97 win over the defending champion Golden State Warriors in Game 5 of the NBA Finals at the Oracle Arena.

With their backs against the wall, both James and Irving stepped up to score 41 points each as they denied the Warriors a chance to celebrate another championship at home. The Cavs still trail the series, 2-3, heading to their homecourt for Game 6.

The Warriors got 37 from Klay Thompson and 25 from reigning MVP Steph Curry but badly missed the services of hardworking forward Draymond Green, who was serving a one-game suspension for committing a flagrant foul against James in Game 4.

The game was tied at 61 at the half before the Cavs stepped up in the second half and outscored the Warriors 32-23 in the third. Cleveland then held the Warriors down to 13 points in the fourth to pull off the huge victory.
