A SUSPECTED drug pusher died after being shot inside an Internet cafe in Barangay Pusok in Lapu-Lapu City at 6 a.m. Monday.
Rham Chielton Astilla, a resident of sitio Upa in Barangay Pusok, died while undergoing treatment at the Mactan Doctors’ hospital an hour later.
PO3 Lydo Pinos of the Lapu-Lapu City police’s homicide section said Rham and his brother Anthony were inside an Internet cafe when gunshots rang out and Anthony saw Rham wounded and lying on the floor.
Pinos said Anthony told police that two unidentified men went to their home looking for Rham last Saturday but didn’t find him. Rham died of a gunshot wound on his back.
Doctors recovered from his possession five small packs of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.
Pinos said Rham was not listed on the city police’s drug watchlist nor did he surrender during their “Oplan Tokhang.”
