After staging two successful conventions that received a massive number of praises from hundreds of fanatics from all over the region, Cebu Cosplayers Guild is bringing an even bigger, action-packed COSACT for their third season.
COSACT, a coined term from the phrase “Cosplay in Action”, is a two-day convention that will take place on July 7, 2018 and July 8, 2018 at JCentre Mall Mandaue. With the primary vision of the organizers to raise awareness among the community on the existence of the organization, they also want to highlight and showcase the creativity and awesome talents of Cebuanos. It is not just a convention, but a celebration of Japanese culture, bringing together a crowd of anime and manga lovers, nifty cosplayers, game enthusiasts, talented artists and movie geeks.
On the first day, feast your eyes and imagination with this year’s Gijinka Cosplay competition, a parade of your favorite childhood Pokemon characters in human form. Apart from that, it’s the perfect time for visual artists to show-off their different expressions of art because a drawing contest will take place on the same day. Grab your chances and triumph among the rest as you join the elimination round of a card game duel. Plus, don’t forget to wear your best non-original character cosplay attire and stand-out from the rest cause you might just be crowned as the best cosplayer of the day!
A second wave of original cosplayers will also battle their way to the top as they flaunt their post-apocalyptic-themed costumes and stints on the second day of the convention. Prepare to sing your heart out as a karaoke contest will also happen on the same day. Don’t forget to place your bets on the best player because the final round of the card game duel will determine the master dueler of the season. You still have the chance to win as the best cosplayer of the day because non-original character costrippers are still very much welcome. So wear your best impression and slay them all with your best attire!
