Colour Me Ladies Conference set on March 8

“My life is so colorful!” is an expression many women can exclaim. With so many roles to fulfill and tasks to accomplish, juggling all these makes for an interesting, and many times a stressful existence.

Four women who have mastered the art of juggling their many roles will speak before 1000 women in the Colour Me Ladies Conference on March 8 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Atlantic Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.

With the theme “Lovin’ Life,” the conference is organized by a group of women representing various Christian churches in Metro Cebu. It envisions to empower and inspire women, in whatever season of their lives they may be passing through.

Dr. Russell Makiling is an author, psychometrician, certified Human Resources trainer/consultant and Living values trainer for UNESCO, UNICEF and MBTI qualified administrator (California, USA). She was awarded as Woman of the Year in 2008 by the American Biographical Institute and is among the 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century (2009-2010) of the International Biographical Center in Cambridge, England.

Christine Mata-Kairuz has dedicated her time in various ministries. She heads the Marillac Hills Ministry, Alabang which is a home for sexually abused girls, and is a Sunday school and Bible study teacher at the Lighthouse Christian Community. She is a trainer and speaker, but most importantly, she is a proud mother of 5, grandmother of 3 and the wife of Peter M. Kairuz, the host of CBN Asia’s 700 Club. She is the keynote speaker of the Colour Me Ladies Conference.

Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan is popularly known as a multi-awarded movie and television actress, but she is more than this. She is an awarded author of children’s books, and a columnist of the Philippine Star. She also conducts parenting seminars through The Parenting Company and HIP PINAS Advocacy.

Together with her husband, inspirational speaker Anthony Pangilinan, she is a health and wellness advocate. As Team Pangilinan, the couple, with their 5 children, has joined numerous multisport races. She holds a master’s degree in Family Life and Child Development from the University of the Philippines, Diliman.

Karen Timbol is a singer, actress, beauty queen and model. A former teenage personality in the hit show ‘That’s Entertainment’, she was also a recording artist under BMG Pilipinas. She left show business in 1999 but joined the popular Hotdog band as lead female vocalist on its international tours from 2003-2005. She is presently an entrepreneur, devoting her time to successful wedding planning business, and to her family. She is married to Ariel Atendido with whom she has 2 children.
