In the face of modern technology where everything has become possible with just a click or tap, online selling and buying are now becoming a trend nowadays. Because of this, more Filipinos have been turning to OLX Philippines, the country’s leading general classified ads website, to buy and sell unused items at a much lower cost.

The site has won the trust of Cebuanos. Dating from the launching of OLX’s “Yess, Yaman!” campaign in the metro last summer, a total of 10, 203 Cebuanos have registered themselves to the site. RJ David, co-founder and CEO of OLX Philippines said OLX encourages Filipinos to improve their lives by de-cluttering their homes and earn extra cash by selling secondhand items online.

Based on the commissioned study of OLX done by a global research company TNS, urban Philippines has an estimated 21 billion pesos worth of unused items that can still be sold and are generated every 3-6 months. The goal of the “Yess, Yaman!” campaign is to help Filipinos to put those items up in the online marketplace and tap this wealth for a better living.

OLX Philippines, formerly Sulit.com.ph, facilitates easy online buying and selling for netizens. Sellers can just take a photo of their pre-loved items, post it on the OLX website and wait for interested buyers to beep them up and initiate a meet-up. OLX also has a downloadable app available for android and IOS users. For more information, visit www.olx.ph.
