CEBU-based ALA Promotions International will receive three major awards in the 15th Gabriel “Flash” Elorde Boxing Awards on March 25 at the Fiesta Pavillion of the Manila Hotel.
ALA Promotions International CEO Michael P. Aldeguer will receive the “Best Promoter of the Year” award. This will be Aldeguer’s seventh consecutive year as an awardee of the Elorde awards.
Edmund Villamor, one of the veteran trainers at the famed ALA Boxing Gym in Talamban was chosen “Best Trainer of the Year” while IBF Inter-Continental super bantamweight champion “Prince” Albert Pagara will receive the “Most Promising Boxer” award.
Aside from the three major awards, two division world champion and current WBO light flyweight king Donnie “Ahas” Nietes will also be enshrined into the Elorde Hall of Fame along with former five division world champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire.
Nietes recently received a major award from the Philippine Sports Association (PSA).
