ABC to probe liaison officer accused of harassing Citom enforcer

CEBU City’s Association of Barangay Councils (ABC) confirmed today that they contracted blocktime commentator Roger Cimafranca as their liaison officer.

ABC president Philip Zafra said they will investigate Cimafranca who was recorded on video camera as having insulted and threatened a Cebu City Traffic Operations Management (Citom) traffic enforcer.

“It would appear that there is an abuse of authority. As a public servant we should be circumspect with our actions. Whether close or not, if found liable he has to suffer the consequences of his actions,” Zafra said in a radio interview.

In a radio comment Thursday morning, dyLA station manager Jun Tagalog said he is surprised by Cimafranca’s action.

“His actions is not reflective of the character of our own staff and reporters. His actions don’t reflect our company because we do not abuse our privilege as a staff of dyLA. Most especially, his action is not reflective of the media industry,” Tagalog said.
