Labangon buy-bust nets man, P3.9 million worth of ‘shabu’
POLICE arrested a 34-year-old man and recovered P3.9-million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in barangay Labangon, Cebu City yesterday morning.
Samuel Alcontin allegedly sold drugs worth P300,000 to a poseur-buyer outside his house in sitio Callojan.
Operatives of the City Intelligence Branch (CIB) moved in when the money and illegal drugs changed hands, said Supt. Romeo Santander, chief of CIB.
Police said they recovered 11 more packs of shabu after the arrest.
Alcontin denied being a drug pusher. He said a man whom he refused to identify left the seized packs of illegal drugs in his safekeeping.
Santander said they suspected the man is a member of a drug syndicate and his role was to dispose of the illegal drugs.
Alcontin is detained at the Cebu City Police Office while waiting for charges to be filed against him.
