This year’s activity will showcase the Iskolars’ creativity and talent in resolving issues faced by the country regarding the elections.

Juli Ann Sibi, this year’s Cookout overall director, said “As Iskolars ng Bayan, it is our role to help people understand that voting the right people can create drastic change in our nation.”

The event is open to the public.

Special guests like Rivermaya, Missing Filemon and Powerspoonz will also grace the event.

Cebu-based bands NeverEnding Weekend, Silingan ni Felicity, Band-Aid, UNKNOWNCompany, Periodic Table, GINSYNC, Impune, Great White Gents and Ante Meridian will also be performing live.

Local DJs Bernard Ybañez and Steve Chadi will also take part in the celebration.

Prior to the event, a UP Pre-Cookout will be held on Nov. 6, wherein an actual cookout will take place.

“Basically magluto-luto (cooking), then we will have speakers from the Commission on Elections and other responsible voters and advocates. Iskos and Iskas will discuss with them election-related issues,” Sibi said.
