Smart subsidiary welcomes Myanmar delegation

A group of regulators representing Myanmar’s monetary and telecoms sector, recently visited and met with the senior management team of Smart e-Money, Inc. (SMI), a wholly-owned mobile financial services subsidiary of Smart Communications, Inc., to know more about the regulatory development for e-money and branchless banking in the Philippines as well as learn from SMI’s innovative best practices models.

As part of the study tour, the Myanmar delegation also met with officials of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the National Telecommunications Commission.
