JVR to choose between Binay or Duterte

It’s either Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte or Vice President Jejomar Binay.

These are the presidential choices of Talisay City Mayor Johnny de los Reyes (JVR) and his slate after they officially decided Friday night to drop Mar Roxas, the standard bearer of the administration’s Liberal Party (LP).

De los Reyes told Cebu Daily News that representatives from the camps of Binay and Duterte called him on Thursday, each asking to be given a week to arrange their schedules so they could come to Cebu and meet with him and his whole slate.

He said they will entertain whoever will come to meet with them first.

Sa makauna lang nila (Whoever come first),” he said.

For the vice presidential candidate, De los Reyes said they will still have to decide whether or not they will also drop Roxas’ running mate, Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo..

He said the staff of vice presidential candidate and senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos has also given him a call that they will visit him in Talisay City next week.

De los Reyes however said that even if they were dropping Mar Roxas as their presidential candidate, they will remain as LP Cebu members and will still support the reelection bid of Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III and Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale.

“The majority decided that we will remain for Davide and Magpale. I also respected their decision,” he added.
