CEBU’S Dave “The Hunter” Peñalosa, the 25-year-old nephew of two-time world champion Gerry Peñalosa, remained unbeaten after defeating Manila’s Menard Zaragosa last May 4 at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia in Metro Manila.
Dave, the son of former world champion Doddie Boy Peñalosa Sr., extended his winning streak to 11 wins with eight knockouts after scoring a knockout victory against Zaragosa in the fourth round of their scheduled six-round non-title showdown.
Dave landed a left straight followed by an uppercut that sent Zaragosa down and into his 23rd loss against six wins and a single draw.
