Defending champs draw first blood in Cesafi collegiate volleyball finals

The University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) defeated Southwestern University (SWU)-Phinma, 25-22, 14-25, 25-22, 25-20, in Game 1 of the Cesafi men’s volleyball tournament Sunday afternoon at the University of San Carlos main gym.
In the women’s finals, SWU-Phinma got back at USJ-R with a 26-24, 25-14, 16-25, 25-19 victory later in the day. Both defending champions now hold a 1-0 lead in their respective best-of-three finals series.
