CASH AID FOR TEACHERS
Netizens were happy for the 5,400 public school teachers and school personnel who went to the Cebu City Sports Center to receive their annual P10,000 cash assistance from City Hall on December 16.
Vicente Villahermosa Impel wrote, “Thank you Cebu City gov’t for the assistance … sa uulitin (until next time).”
A netizen named Marichu Vim-vim Parba Lobero said, “Wow Cebu City teachers … only in cebu, bongga!”
Another netizen, Xer Lemasokaj wrote, “Kahayahay nila (They are lucky) complete.”
But some teachers had their cash aid cut by half after they received the 2015 cost of living allowance (COLA) disallowed by the Commission on Audit (COA).
