SHANGRI-LA Hotels and Resorts celebrated its annual Media Appreciation Party last Jan. 28, at the Isabela Ballroom of Makati Shangri-La with the theme “The Shangri-la Force Awakens.”
In their Star Wars-inspired looks, representatives from the different media companies were treated to an intergalactic party—space-themed food, lively entertainment, and exciting prizes courtesy of the different Shangri-La properties.
The ambience—from the decor to the stage to “guest characters” Yoda, Chewbacca, and the Storm Troopers—stirred the Star Wars fan in all of us. The grand entrance of the Shangri-La Team led by the General Managers were well applauded by the guests as well as the Lightsaber ceremony during the closing which was one of the highlights of the event.
Representatives from the Cebu media who flew in were treated like royalty having received the warm hospitality of Shangri-La Mactan General Manager Rene Egle, Director of Communications, Cassandra Cuevas and Director of Sales and Marketing Albert Lafuente. We had the first-hand experience of the Shangri-La Way of serving their clients making it a wonderful experience for all of us.
