MANDAUE City Mayor Luigi Quisumbing warned criminal elements against preying on city residents, saying the city government will “find and get them” for committing crimes in the city.

He issued the statement after one of two armed men that robbed a 24-hour eatery in Barangay Pitogo, Consolacion was arrested last Tuesday evening. The two men also raped the two attendants near a cemetery in the area. One of the victims positively identified the arrested suspect.

Quisumbing said the other suspect may be wounded and in the hospital at the time. The victims said the two suspects entered Atan’s eatery and posed as customers before declaring a holdup. The robbers took away P3,000 then held the victims at gunpoint and forced them to ride their motorcycle. The two victims were later found at Tayud cemetery where they claim to have been raped and then brought to a barangay hall.
