A forklift operator was hospitalized after he fell to the sea in Pier 1, Cebu City on Tuesday afternoon.

Glenn Sarador, chief of port of police at Cebu Ports Authority (CPA) initially identified the victim as Pacifico Boltron, a 58-year-old resident of Minglanilla town.

“He was operating the forklift when the incident happened. It rained earlier. He fell straight to the sea and hurt his head,” Sarador told Cebu Daily News.

Boltron’s condition remains unknown.

Sarador said they have yet to determine if the victim is an employee of a cargo handling or a shipping company.
