THE three-time defending Cesafi champions Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles stamped their class as the best high school team in the country’s Jesuit community as they routed the Ateneo de Davao, 73-41, in the finals of the basketball competition of the Jesuit Athletic Meet 2016 yesterday at the Ateneo de Davao University in Davao City.
The school’s sister squad, SHS-AdC 2, bagged third place honors with a 64-55 win over Ateneo de Iloilo.
In the girls volleyball, Ateneo de Cebu continued their string of success as they throttled the hosts in straight sets, 25-15, 25-19, 25-22, to claim the crown.
The school’s girl’s futsal team also claimed a 5-3 win over Xavier University to win the championship.
However, the boy’s football squad got edged by Ateneo de Davao, 0-1, to finish with the silver medal.
The 2018 JAM will be hosted by Ateneo de Cebu.
