MAASIN City’s Adones Aguelo of Rex Wakee Salud (RWS) Boxing Gym faces unbeaten Mexican Erick De Leon on Aug. 5 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Aguelo, a former WBC Asian Boxing Council lightweight champion, has a record of 28 wins (19 knockouts), 15 losses and two draws. He is one of the boxers of veteran trainer Brix Flores.
The 29-year-old Maasin City native will take on a younger De Leon, 25, who is now based in Detroit, Michigan. De Leon sports a record of 16-0-0 (win-loss-draw) with 10 knockouts.
Flores said the fight is part of the undercard of the Vasyl “Hi-Tech” Lomachenko-Miguel Marriaga fight.

Last year, he fought in Russia against Pavel Malikov for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council lightweight belt but lost via fourth-round technical knockout (TKO).
De Leon won his last two bouts by knockouts. Last year, he won all of his three fights by knockouts.
