Tapaya bags October title of Cetba monthly tournament
LUTHER Tapaya placed only second but still walked away with the October “Bowler of the Month” title last Sunday in the Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA)-PRIMA monthly bowling tournament at the Gaisano Bowlingplex, Cebu City.
Tapaya finished the six-game series with 1,219 pinfalls behind champion Clarence Tiu’s 1,263 total. But since Tiu already won the January title, Tapaya was declared the October champion.
Tiu averaged 210.50 pinfalls in his campaign while Tapaya has a 195.17 clip.
Clifford Tan completed the top three by scoring 1,210 pinfalls followed by Arthur Tapaya (1,176) and Vivian Padawan (1,173) in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Sixth to 10th placers were Heber Alqueza (1,143), Ed Aniñon (1,142), Bel Suelto (1,141), Bede Llano (1,129) and Xyrra Cabusas (1,127), respectively.
