Compostela dumps Liloan in Red Durano basketball tourney

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Compostela proved to be rude hosts as they sent away Liloan, 80-70, in the 9th Congressman Red Durano Cup basketball tournament on Saturday, April 13, 2019, in Compostela.
The home team was up by a mere two, 54-52, at the end of the third, but flipped the switch in the fourth to outscore Liloan, 26-18, and come away with the victory, their fifth in six tries.

Kobe Paradiang led the way for Compostela with 16 points while Paul Marapo backed him up with 14.
Jethro Tuatho was the high-point man for Liloan with 16.
In the first game, Catmon upended Sogod, 83-78, to notch their second win in seven games. Sogod meanwhile, fell further down the standings as they now stand at 2-6./dbs
