Some people trooped to the race course not because they’re triathlon fans. There were there to do some “star-gazing” as a number of celebrities competed in the IronMan.
Anna Dela Cruz, 40 marked her territory early as 5 a.m. just so she could have the best vantage point to see her idol, Piolo Pascual.
“It’s different if I could see him in person and not just on TV,” she said.
Nearby, a group was also on the wait for actor Matteo Guidicelli. They held white flaglets stamped with the words “Go Matteo”.
Edelita Sobiono, 15, said she adores the actor. “Crush man gud nako siya.”
Geraldine Boyboy, 18, said it was a joy seeing Piolo and other actors.
“Gwapo kaayo sila, ilabi na si Piolo. Mao gyud ni akong gimatahan ug sayo,” she said.
