MANILA, Philippines — Oil companies on Tuesday slashed the prices of diesel by P3 per liter and kerosene, mainly used for cooking and lighting, by P3.40 per liter.

Prices of gasoline, however, remained unchanged. Industry players implemented the reduced prices this week after raising local pump prices for four straight weeks.

As of writing, the cumulative increases stand at P30 per liter for gasoline, P45.90 per liter for diesel, and P39.75 per liter for kerosene, based on the Department of Energy’s price monitoring.

Gasoline in Metro Manila retails for P76.45 to P98.40 per liter while diesel is sold for P83.20 to P98 per liter as of June 30, figures from the agency showed.

For kerosene, the retail price ranges from P89.74 to P99.14 per liter.
