Radaza miffed over del Mar’s support of power firm

LAPU-LAPU City Mayor Paz Radaza said she was disappointed with Rep. Raul del Mar of Cebu City’s north district for elevating the Mactan Electric Co.’s (MECO) request for renewal of franchise to Congress.
She said the Association of Barangay Council (ABC) of Lapu-Lapu City is still addressing complaints of poor service and unreasonable penalties by MECO’s customers in the city.
Radaza said the sentiments of her constituents should be the basis for either the renewal or rejection of Meco’s franchise.
