Girl raped by 16-yr-old ‘boyfriend’ and his pal in Lapu-Lapu City
LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — A 13-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by two men including a minor, was rescued by officials of Barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City, around midnight of September 27.
Pajo Barangay Captain Lyndel Bullos said that they rescued the girl after her father and brother sought their assistance in locating her whereabouts.
The girl, who resides in Mandaue City, was successfully rescued and one of the suspects who was only 16 years old was arrested. Meanwhile, the other suspect who is 21 years old, was able to evade arrest.
In her earlier statement, the victim told Bullos that she met the 16-year-old suspect on Facebook.
The suspect reportedly courted her and they became boyfriend and girlfriend.
She added that they decided to meet yesterday, September 27, wherein they had a drinking spree, together with the 21-year-old suspect.
When she got drunk, she said that the suspects take turns raping her.
“Hubog pa gani ang biktima sa dihang nisaysay siya sa nahitabo” Bullos said.
Due to this, Bullos instructed her Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) Officer to accompany the victim and the suspect at the Gun-ob Police Station to report the incident.
Victim changes story
However, when they arrived at the police station, the victim changed her testimony.
She said that she was with her woman friend yesterday at Barangay Mactan to wander.
However, her friend called the suspects, and when they arrived, her friend suddenly left her.
“Gibyaan daw siya sa iyang amiga ngadto sa mga suspects. Murag gilawog siya ba,” he added.
After that, the suspects brought her to their home in Barangay Pajo, wherein she was forced by the suspects to drink alcoholic drinks before she was raped.
The police are now conducting a hot pursuit operation to apprehend the other suspect.
Meanwhile, the 16-year-old suspect was brought to the Home Care Facility pending the filing of charges against him. The victim was also endorsed to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for medical examination. /rcg
