CEBU CITY, Philippines — Six exciting matches will be featured in the second season of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (Cesafi) Esports League (CEL) that will kick off on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the University of Southern Philippines-Foundation (USP-F) Lahug campus.
The defending champions in the Mobile Legends Bang Bang, the University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu Mandaue (UCLM) Webmasters, will have two successive matches against the UC Main Webmasters and the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Dragons.
Also playing on Saturday is the inaugural season’s first runners-up, the University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors. They will face UC Main and CEC in their first two games and will have a rematch against UCLM in their last game.
UC Main and CEC completes the six featured matches on Saturday. Matches start at 9 a.m and will continue until 4 p.m.
On Sunday, the much-awaited debut of CEL’s newest Esports, the first-person multiplayer tactical hero shooter Valorant, will also features six matches.
It will be held at TNC Cebu located along Pelaez Street in downtown Cebu City.
The scheduled matches on Sunday’s Valorant competition are CIT-U vs CEC, SWU-Phinma vs. UC Main, CIT-U vs. SWU-Phinma, CEC vs. UC Main, SWU-Phinma vs. CEC, and UC Main vs. CIT-U.
The Valorant matches are slated from 9 a.m until 4 p.m.
