The 12 basketball teams that will be competing in the Buildrite Cup will be divided into two brackets.

Bracket A will be comprised of Mechanical Engineers-B/Max Bond, Computer Engineers E/TOFil, Civil Engineers/Blocktite, United Architects of the Philippines (UAP)-Cebnu/Sinclair, Civil Engineers 2/Blockout, Industrial Engineers/Sapal.

Meanwhile, bracket B will be competed by the Civil Engineers-1/Stop Gap, UAP-DLL/Handyfix, Civil Engineers-4/Rubberstop, Mechanical Engineers-A/Smartbond, Electrical Engineers/Floorteck, and Civil Engineers-5/Confix.

Besides the basketball action, Choachuy also wanted to reiterate that this tournament aims to create collaboration and unity among architects and engineers who are often rivals in their respective industries.

Choachuy added that the Buildrite Cup is purely fielding “professional players” since they only allow licensed architects and engineers to play basketball.

“Mao ni tinud-anay nga professional league kay licensed gyud tanan players nato. Mga engineers and architects. Aside ana, ang allied professions nato, naay mga conflict, hopefully with this league pwede mi maka bonding. Importante kay maka collaborate mi in the future, ” said Choachuy.

The opening ceremony of the inaugural Buildrite Cup is scheduled at 5:30 p.m tomorrow, at the CPA gym followed by the game proper.
