Japan-based global property development company Hankyu Hanshin Properties (HPP) Corporation and King Properties, a trusted real estate entity in Cebu, have inked their partnership in establishing two sustainable residential projects on February 1, 2024, at the Nustar Fili Hotel – Cebu.
We wanted to influence the industry to also become responsible developers, which I believe would strengthen our image, our brand, and the loyalty of the consumer.

The ceremonial signing led by HPP Corp. Director Masahiko Toda and Mario A. King of King Properties signal the start of the collaboration of the real estate giants for the two housing projects at Minglanilla and Liloan: Danarra South and Danarra North.
The developments will integrate sustainable features by utilizing solar panels as energy resources, rainwater tanks for water conservation, and an effective waste management system.
“One of the common values that [King Properties and HHP Corporation] have is being a responsible citizen in the areas we operate… Aside from that, we wanted to influence the industry to also become responsible developers, which I believe would strengthen our image, our brand, and the loyalty of the consumer.” King Properties Managing Director Kenneth Raymund King said during the press conference with CDN Digital.
King also added that such initiatives are part of their contribution to the environment’s preservation, besides cutting electricity costs.
When asked about why they chose King Properties as a partner, HHP Corp. Director Masahiko Toda said, “We are always looking for the affordable type of property [we] would like to deal with for the local market, the King Properties is actually focusing on that.”
These eco-friendly facilities are testimony to both HHP Corporation and King Properties’ commitment to incorporating sustainable practices with environmental consideration into their projects.
Both Danarra North and South projects will consist of budget-friendly townhouses, duplexes, single-attached and detached units, and clustered shophouses that are convertible into commercial areas.
Targeted to be completed in 3 years, both developments aim to implement green spaces with amenities such as interactive playgrounds, pet-friendly tree parks, multi-purpose courts, clubhouses, fitness loops, gardens, and swimming pools.
King Properties is the developer behind renowned projects in Cebu, including Avenir, Meridian, The Highline, and 1 Nito Tower.
