RONAN Barredo joined the list of qualifiers for the much-awaited “Bowler of the Year” tournament of the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (CETBA) after he dominated this year’s final montlhy tournament last Saturday at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center.
Barredo finished the six-game series with 1,302 pinfalls, escaping Jake Yap, who finished with 1,300 pinfalls.
Barredo’s best games were at the first and third rounds. He scored 234 in the first then improved that to 239 in the third.
Yap scored 204, 223 and 200 pinfalls in the first three rounds but Barredo managed to escape with the win and make it to the finals slated slated Dec. 12.
Nestor Longcanaya finished third with 1,231 pinfalls followed by Ging Francisco with 1,226 and Sonia Gakenholz with 1,210 pinfalls.
Already in the finals are Omar Marsangca, Yap, Rey Velarde, Docdoc Gothong, Longcanaya, Francisco, Ed Dilla, Fel Alasagas and Jomar Jumapao.
