Responders training for PWD set on April 18

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) in coordination with the Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction Network will hold a Responder’s Training for Person with Disabilities (PWD’s) on April 18-22 at Golden Peak Hotel.

There will be four modules that will be covered during the training which includes The Philippine Context and Importance of Inclusive Community Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRRM); Steps in Conducting Inclusive (CBDRRM); Preparedness, Prevention, and Mitigation for each hazard; and, Disaster response mechanisms and preparation for rehabilitation and recovery: Community Response.

Eric Lopez, head of the training division of PDRRMO, said 35 representatives from Cebu’s local governments will join the training along with responders from the PDRRMO and the Disability People’s Organization (DPO)./USJ-R Intern Shiela Gumapon
