THE VISAYAS Karatedo Union (VKU) National Championships unfolds today at the Robinson’s Galleria Cebu.

Sensei Reynan Vidal of Team Hayashi-ha Shitoryukai Karatedo Cebu said around a dozen teams from Manila, the Visayas and Mindanao will take part in the two-day national tournament.

“This is the biggest karatedo tournament that Cebu will have this year so we are very excited to showcase the best players out there in this two-day competition. We hope that this will come out as a success because we are planning to make this a yearly affair for VKU,” Vidal said.

Aside from the karatedo tournament, there will also be a training camp to be conducted by Japan Karatedo Association’s (JKA) Vic Luna, Philippine Karatedo League (PKL) chief instructor and chairman Dennis Aquino and Kyukodan Shorin Chief Mar Navaroza.
