CEBUANO guard Ain Obenza continued to raise his stock in the big league as he led the mighty San Beda Red Cubs to the finals of the 2016 Filoil Flying V Tournament with a 98-70 thrashing of the Far Eastern University (FEU) Baby Tamaraws in the semis yesterday at the San Juan Arena.
Obenza, a former hotshot of the University of Southern Philippines Foundation Baby Panthers, scored 17 points to lead all San Beda scorers.
The seven-time NCAA champions led, 31-16, after the first canto and did not allow the Baby Tamaraws to score more than 20 points in any of the periods.
FEU also featured two former aces from the University of the Visayas—Royce and Ramesh Alforque.
The finals will see San Beda battle Adamson.
