Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards
THE FIRST solo big screen team-up of phenomenal couple Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, more popularly known as AlDub, is off to a great start.
“Imagine You and Me,” filmed at the picturesque cities of Como and Verona in Italy earned P21 million on its first day in theaters last July 13.
According to APT Entertainment, which produced the film together with GMA Films and M-Zet TV Production Inc., the romantic movie earned has first day sales of P21,503, 084. Of this figure, P10,767,694 is from Metro Manila while P10,735,390 is from the provinces.
This is despite the technical difficulties experienced in some theaters in the provinces that delayed the screening schedules.
The romance movie featuring the story of Andrew (played by Alden) and Gara (played by Maine), was released three days before AlDub’s first anniversary as an onscreen loveteam.
The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has given the film a G rating.
