Bike rider dies in Carcar road mishap

A 29-year-old motorcycle rider died after he collided with a passenger bus along the national highway in Barangay Valladolid, Caarcar City around 7 p.m last Sunday.

Rober Langaan suffered severe injuries in the head and body.

He was brought to Carcar District hospital but was pronounced dead by attending physician.

According to PO1 Marjun Alidon, traffic investigator of Carcar Police Station, the victim was driving his Honda XRM 125 motorcycle further south when he collided with a Ceres bus (964 CEH) bound for Cebu City.

Langaan allegedly overtook a vehicle ahead of him when he collided with the approaching Ceres bus driven by Narciso Atio, 35, of Barangay Upper Calajoan, Minglanilla town, southern Cebu.
Atio surrendered to the San Fernando police station.
