The Department of Science and Technology in Central Visayas announced the appointment of engineer Edilberto Paradela as the new regional director.

Paradela is an alumnus of the Cebu Institute of Technology University who holds a Masters Degree in Information Technology from Cranfield University, United Kingdom. Paradela, former assistant regional director for Technical Operations, played a key role in the successful formulation of government, academic and organizational accomplishments.
“I thank the Lord for this position as I can fully serve the Central Visayas communities and my family, DOST family and colleagues who have inspired and trusted me to this position. As an insider to the DOST System, I can continue the S&T programs initiated by my former bosses,” said Paradela.
