CEBU CITY, Philippines— The Naked Island in Siargao is visible again!
After “vanishing” for days as a result of the wrath of super typhoon Odette that hit parts of the Visayas and Mindanao last December 16, 2021, seeing the famous island again signifies hope for the typhoon victims in Siargao Island.
Aj Rob, one of the island’s local photographers, was able to take a photo of Naked Island on January 1.
The Naked Island is one of the most visited spots in Siargao because of its white sand and clear blue waters.
After seeing the Naked Island, netizens can’t help but marvel at its beauty once again.
Seeing the island also signifies hope for the typhoon victims, especially the locals of Siargao.
Aj leaves this message to everyone.
“Please pray for our island. Murag dugay-dugay pa jud makabangon among island.”
Relief operations are still ongoing to extend help to the Siargaonons.
