Consumer finance firm enters Cebu

With just two valid IDs and a processing time of 30 minutes, people aged 18 to 68 years old may already avail of an affordable installment plan to purchase a smart phone or a home appliance right on the spot.

This is the value proposition of an international financing company that made its entry into the Visayas market last January 20.

Home Credit (HC) Group, a leading consumer finance company in 11 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, offers its affordable installment plans to Cebuanos through HC Consumer Finance Philippines.

David Minol, HC president and chief executive officer, said Cebu is one of their priority markets in the Philippines next to Manila because of its bullish economy.
The company has partnered with some eight mobile gadget retailers in Ayala Center and SM City Cebu. The company targets 40 partner merchants by March, Minol said.

The company also plans to offer its services in Iloilo and other key cities in Visayas within the year as well as put up its own contact center in Cebu.

Minol said they want to help more Filipinos avail of consumer goods through their instant loan services.

“We want to help Filipinos gain access to the commodities that they need to improve their lives such as gadgets and home appliances. With our affordable installment and loan plans, people can immediately make purchases using whatever amount of money they have in their pockets as down payment for the product and we’ll take care of the remaining amount,” Minol said.

HC specializes in providing installment plans to non-credit card holders for the purchase of electronic devices, home appliances, and furniture.

The firm offers a maximum loanable amount of P50,000 for a single purchase payable in six to 30 months. An interest rate of 3 to 4 percent applies per month depending on the type and value of product being purchased.

The company started its operations in Manila in 2013 and has since served over 150,000 customers.
