THE much awaited 5th Elite Basketball Club Cebu-Sinulog Cup will tip-off this Sunday at the Visayan Glass Gym in Guadalupe, Cebu.
Presented by Tough Gear Sportswear, the tournament will be played every Fridays and Sundays and would run until April. It will have three games on Sunday.
In the first game, defending champions Panthers led by Finals MVP Neil Buot will take on a new-comer Stallions at 5p.m. while the Eagles will go up against Emil Gabuya and the rest of the Wolverines in the second game.
“Entering our 5th season, we’ve been so blessed to have reached this point and we’re very happy to have had a successful Draft with the most talented batch so far.” Elite Basketball Club Chairman Bertoni Salazar told Cebu Daily News.
The Elite Club recently held its Draft last Jan. 21 at Ned Nanay’s Grill in Banawa.
Meanwhile, the veteran Seahawks team of triggerman Joirene Salcedo will go head-to-head against the Bulldogs in the final game of opening day.
The Elite Club will have three leagues this season — the newly organized Sinulog Cup, the Summer Cup and the Christmas Cup.
