INMATES of the Cebu City Jail voluntarily demolished the 36 kubols or private rooms in their cells Wednesday morning.

Supt. Jessie Calumpang, the newly installed jail warden, said there will no more be special treatment in the facility.

Calumpang replaced Supt. Johnson Calub as Cebu City Jail’s warden yesterday morning after a search at the facility last Saturday dawn confirmed the presence of contraband including illegal drugs and cash.

Calumpang said they will also impose stricter rules on visits.
