Cebu City, Philippines—Cebuana beauty queen Nicole Borromeo has proven herself once again on the national stage.
The 18-year-old Borromeo finished second runner-up in Miss Teen Philippines 2019 held at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City last Wednesday, May 8, 2019.
Rabie Ian Pogoy, manager of Borromeo said that he is happy and proud of Borromeo’s achievement.
“She did so well. I am proud of her because she did it by herself, independently. The two-week duration of the pageant in Manila, she was by herself for the first time,” Pogoy told Cebu Daily News Digital.

CDN Digital sought Borromeo’s reaction.
In a text message she sent on May 10, Friday, she said that being happy would be an understatement.
“Not everyone gets the chance to represent their home on a national level and I managed to do just that on meaningful platforms,” she said.
Miss Teen Philippines 2019 is her second national pageant after winning Reyna ng Aliwan 2019 last April 27, 2019.

“The two were different. For Reyna ng Aliwan, I got to showcase the rich culture of Cebu, the devotion towards Señor Santo Niño. I showed the hearts of the Filipinos celebrating Sinulog. For Miss Teen Philippines, it was more focused on me as a person,” she said.
It was interesting for Borromeo since Miss Teen Philippines was her first pageant with no personal hair and make-up artist, no handler, and no mother during the entire pageant period.
After Miss Teen Philippines 2019, Borromeo will be joining another national pageant, the Miss Millennial Philippines 2019, a pageant segment of GMA’s noontime show, “Eat Bulaga!”
