How safe is the passenger?

The ordeal of the husband and wife who encountered a hostile taxicab driver isn’t quite over.

When call center agent Dave Say Horca went home to Escario Street, Cebu City  after his work shift at dawn yesterday, he noticed the same taxicab parked near the house.

He told Cebu Daily News he would request for police protection because he’s  worried about his family’s safety after he filed a complaint against the taxi driver for overcharging.

Horca had Monday’s incident recorded in the blotter of the Mabolo police station about 11:30 p.m.

The sketchy account mentions the driver pulling out a knife and threatening the couple “Musokol mo?” (Will you fight back). It  didn’t mention other details like the two five-peso coins thrown at their faces.

Horca said the couple would definitely file a charge of grave threat against the driver, Joel Ramos of SD Taxi, based on the advice of LTFRB Regional Director Reynaldo Elnar.

Elnar said this was his first time to receive a passenger complaint of this nature.
