In the bustling city of Manila where daily life can often overshadow tales of compassion, the heartwarming story of a stray cat has emerged to introduce us to a real-life paw patrol.
Meet Conan, a six-month-old stray cat turned security officer who is the latest addition to the vigilant team of guards tasked with keeping watch over the Worldwide Corporate Center in the Philippine capital.
While the rest of the guards stand stoically in their uniforms, waiting for their daily instructions, the cat passes by proudly in its very own security guard vest. It’s a sight to behold as this fur-tastic feline struts confidently in front of its human comrades, seemingly ready to assist in the day’s duties—or perhaps not so much.

Don’t be intimidated by Conan’s security guard attire as the cat shows little to no interest in participating in the typical security duties performed by its human colleagues. Instead, it prefers finding the coziest corners to take its relaxing catnaps.
While Conan might not possess the security skills of its dog friends and might have a tendency to just sleep on the job, its company helps keep its teammates entertained all day and night.
For the security guards working 12-hour shifts, Conan has become their stress reliever and motivation to complete their tasks. Its presence adds a charming touch to the bustling scene.

In 2019, data from the Philippine Animal Welfare Society revealed a saddening statistic that there were approximately 12 million stray cats and dogs roaming around the Philippine streets.
